Dance Biodegradable Personal Protective Equipment – Post COVID Facemasks.

During the 2020 NGV Triennial, Alice Potts reimagined protective equipment with her project Dance Biodegradable Personal Protective Equipment – Post COVID Facemasks. Using bioplastic made from food waste and naturally dyed with flowers collected during lockdown, Potts created 20 vibrant, one-of-a-kind face shields. The work transforms everyday materials into functional art, challenging the disposable nature of PPE while exploring sustainability, care, and creativity in response to a global crisis.
